Depending on your skills and wishes, we offer a good mix of guiding and instruction. So if you are new to off-piste skiing, we will make sure that you improve your technique with us.

How does a typical Off-Piste Day look like!

 

  • We start our off-piste day at 09:00 AM at our meeting point.
  • First we do a safety briefing and a warm run.
  • Around lunchtime we stop for a break in some nice mountain restaurant.
  • The length of the day depends on the itinerary, the lunch break and your fitness. We would ski till around 15:00 but will stop earlier when your tired.

St.Anton offers such a broad variety of off-piste possibilities that we can guarantee to find exciting runs for any given conditions and all skill levels. So even in bad weather you can have the best possible day out skiing with us.

With us you will learn everything about skiing off the groomed carpet.

Our Guides are experts in finding the thin line in between pushing you enough and not overchallenging you. So you will be able to improve your skiing without getting scared off.

  • Ski technique off piste
  • Use of your safety gear, transceiver, shovel, probe
  • Rescue procedure & emergency call
  • Interpret the avalanche report
  • Route planing

Booking

Please go to “Find your Guide”, fill out the search form and choose one of the available guides.

Payment

The amount depends on the number of people and days. To book your Guide you have to pay a 30 % deposit.  The guiding fee has to paid in cash to your guide in the beginning of your off-piste or touring day.

What to bring for your Off-Piste Day

  • Off-Piste Skis, no Slalom Skis
  • Backpack with ski caring straps
  • Helmet
  • Goggles
  • Shovel*
  • Probe*
  • Transceiver*

* If you don’t have your own, we will supply you for a flat rate of €10,-.

Sport Jennewein has all the other off-piste equipment to rent.

Meeting Point

You will meet your guide at 9 AM in front of the Galzig cable car bottom station.

Cancellation Conditions

When you cancel your booking:

  • up to 1 week before the booked date, you get back your deposit. No guiding fee has to paid.
  • up to 3 days before the booked date, your deposit covers the cancellation fee. No guiding fee has to paid.
  • up to 1 day before the booked date, you have to pay the half guiding fee.
  • less than 1 day before the booked date, you have to pay the full guiding fee.

Most travel insurances cover cancellation costs, check with your agent!
